Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Multi-Screen Break Overlay work?

When your focus countdown completes and break time begins, macTomato gently presents a translucent frosted-glass overlay across all connected monitors with a breathing ring and health tips. You can exit anytime by clicking "Skip" or pressing the Esc key.

How do I enable the desktop Widget?

Right-click your macOS desktop, choose Edit Widgets, search for macTomato, and drag the widget to your desired desktop or notification center location. Make sure macTomato has been launched at least once so the widget can receive local timer status.

Does macTomato upload my focus data?

No. macTomato is completely offline and does not require an account. All your daily stats and session histories are stored locally on your Mac.

How do I keep macTomato in the menu bar?

Closing the main window will not terminate the app; macTomato stays alive quietly in your macOS menu bar with real-time countdown progress. Click the menu bar icon to show the window or toggle the floating Mini HUD.
